Really really good New York style pizza. The first time I had it (a month ago, perhaps) was during that stretch of beautiful, sunny days, and I remember standing outside the establishment at the corner of the street with my face toward the sun as I took massive, luxuriant bites out of my slice of pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, and garlic pizza (ask to "make it a 7"). It was everything my soul and stomach needed in that moment. The combination of the vitamin D, greasy pizza, quality ingredients, and indulgent gulps of root beer truly sent me to another dimension of bliss. I would've given this place 5 stars but I came a second time maybe two weeks ago with a girlfriend and that same slice of pizza just didn't hit the same. I think it may have been a bit too overcooked--borderline burnt? And the person at the register was not pleasant. Snarky even. For no reason. So quality/taste/service isn't always consistent, but I'd definitely say this place is very much worth your time to visit and try.

Finally decided to use Pi Day as my excuse to trek into downtown Seattle and try Post Alley Pizza after reading so much about it. I decided on a piece of pepperoni and black olive, and the hoagie special of the day (chopped cheese). First thing I noticed was the crust on the pizza, and the roll for the hoagie, were epic. It seems like a minor thing, but minor things make all the difference if you want to be rave worthy. The pizza sauce had a nice zest to it, and the hoagie had peppers, so plenty of tastebud tantalizing going on here. All of the ingredients were top tier, really almost perfectly executed on both items. I'll be back, and it won't be long.

One of the better spots in Seattle for sure. Pizza is good and service is excellent. Ambiance is great but honestly why would you not take these slices and go to the waterfront to eat them?

I came for the Italian hoagie with Jazz. It's good, it's a little spicy. Yummy, chewy sesame bread. Nice folks. Quick service. Great vibes near the downtown near the pier. If you're thinking about, just get it. I'd get it again. But I'm sure to try the pizza next time too.

Finally got to give this place a try after hearing about it for years. The line was pretty short on a Saturday afternoon and we waited less than 10 min for food at the window. The pizza slice was fantastic, better crust than I've had in a lot of NYC places. The Italian hoagie is the thing we've heard so much about, the bread really lived up to the hype, crusty and crunchy. There were abundant meat and cheese filling and the jazz sauce really added a kick although it made the whole thing a little salty for me. $18 for a hoagie before the sauce is more than I would go back for, but it was a unique thing to try.

Pretty good pizza. I love that you can order whole or slice but that you can also do add ons for slices. The hot honey was really good! The service was fine and there's not much space to sit inside. More take out and walk.

We ordered a pie and sandwich to go, and was really impressed. Pizza - we ordered pepperoni with hot honey, and you can tell this pizza is really well done with great ingredients. I loved the crispy pepperoni, and the dough and crust is fluffy and has an amazing chew. 9/10 Italian sandwich - it was good, with really good ingredients especially the bread, but the combination of everything together for some reason just wasn't amazing to us. 7/10 I'd definitely come back for the pizza, and will order a few pies for a future gathering or party.

Order inside! Wow, eating a fresh slice from post Alley was amazing. Crispy crust, tasty toppings, solid red sauce. They make a whole pie in about 15min and heat up a slice in a couple of minutes. Calling in to order is not the way to go, no one answered for multiple tries. Just walk in, order, and wait! Prices on GrubHub were more expensive than in store, so decided to just go in vs order online. #7: pep is great, ricotta is delicious, garlic is tasty, and hot honey gives a good sweetness but is not very spicy. Overall a delicious pie! Their daily meat has pineapple, pep, and pickled jalapeno with red sauce and this was SO good!!

Yes, I'm a bit late to the pizza and hoagie party, but better late than never. Post Alley Pizza was a long time bookmark, but compelling IG posts from Zoe Kahn and J. Kenji Lopez-Alt convinced me to give a whirl (10/18/24). The usual Friday early afternoon traffic was avoided via an alternate route, but it took awhile to locate street parking being adjacent to both the waterfront and Pike Place Market. I eventually found a spot on Madison between 1st and Western ($4.50 for 45 minutes, as an fyi). Post Alley Pizza is at the corner of Post Alley and Seneca, between 1st Avenue and Western. Tiny spot, barely any room to place an order. There's a two person stand up area by the menu board or two seats at the counter facing Post Alley. Friendly counter staff to place the order with. Efficient kitchen crew in such tight quarters. There's hoagies, salads, and of course, pizza by the slice or large 18-inch diameter pies for takeout. I ordered an Italian Hoagie ($19) - stuffed full of Italian meats, cheese, vegies in sesame seeded hoagie sliced and wrapped tightly. I received this in short time while waiting with others at the sidewalk counter. I also ordered a whole 18 inch #7 ($31) featuring pepperoni cups, ricotta, garlic atop their signature tomato sauce, cheeses, and thin crust. I saw it come out of the oven, slid from the peel to the takeout box, drizzled with hot honey, and sliced. Containers of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes were also placed strategically in the box. Omg such a beautiful sight, I photographed it at the counter and again once placed on the passenger seat. I had noticed though once in my car that my hoagie was sogging through its wrapper and onto the pizza box. I moved to another parking spot, threw on my car flashers, took a photo of the impressive hoagie halves, and propped one half upright in the cup holder. The other half I went to town. Messy af, but armed with napkins in my car. Passersby at the intersection and sidewalk were witnessing culinary bliss. Absolutely delicious, especially while ravenous coming up on 2pm. If the hoagie hadn't leaked, I probably would have stuffed a ginormous fresh, hot slice in my face while still parked. Long drive on side streets from downtown to Shoreline. Yes, my one slice at home was no longer piping hot, but still tasted amazing with a cold Pepsi. The Homie gobbled up 4 large slices, one after another. I better put my remaining 3 slices on lockdown, lol. That spontaneous pizza and hoagie cost me with tax and tip under $63, plus $4.50 street parking....however, so worth it and made up for lost time.
